Acadiana's News Leader Two Arrested For Car Burglary

Update-Albanese has been captured at his home in the 600 block of Deerpark Trail, in Milton, he was hiding inside the home when deputies responded to a Crime Stoppers tip shortly after the local media broadcast the information on the web.

Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Deputies were called to Milton because two men were seen reaching into an empty car and removing a ladies wallet and other items in 100 block of Haricot in Milton on Monday January 23, 2012.

One arrested one sought in car burglary

Milton -Deputies were given a description on the two suspects. Deputies arrested Jacob Colton, he has been charged with one count of vehicle burglary

They are stilling looking for the second suspect, they believe it is Koby Albanese, 24. Deputies say Albanese is already wanted for Second Degree Battery for an unrelated incident and they intend to charge him with burglary of an automobile upon his capture. He is believed to be in the Milton Community.

Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of two men reaching into an unoccupied car with the window partially down and removing a ladies wallet and other items in 100 block of Haricot Milton area around 8 PM on Monday January 23, 2012.  Deputies were provided a physical and clothing description on the two suspects who were still in the area seen leaving on foot by witnesses.  Deputies located and recognized Jacob Colton from the witness description, Colton admitted to his presence at the time of the burglary and was identified by the victim and witnesses to the crime, and he was taken to the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center where he was charged with one count of vehicle burglary by Patrol Deputies.

An ensuing investigation revealed that the second suspect was Koby Albanese 24 years old from the Milton area, Albanese is already wanted for Second Degree Battery for an unrelated incident and deputies intend to charge him with burglary of an automobile upon his capture.  Albanese is believed to be in the Milton Community.
