The town of Scott will decide whether or not new trailer parks will be allowed there for the next year.
This was spurred recently by a developer's plan to place a 102 lot park on undeveloped land off of Fenetre Road. The plan received a lot of criticism from citizens who opposed the park. Therefore, Mayor Purvis Morrison and the council decided to address the trailer park question at a special hearing on Thursday.
"We'll do a public hearing, get some input from the community...from the advocates of the trailer parks and see what decision the council comes up with on Thursday."
The public hearing is set to begin at 6:00 on Thursday, followed immediately by the council meeting.
