(AP) - A state judge has ruled that Attorney General Buddy Caldwell acted within his authority when he approved the hiring of outside legal help in a lawsuit filed by the Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-East against almost 100 oil and gas companies. The lawsuit claimed damage to coastal wetlands by the companies.
NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A man booked on two aggravated rape charges in a New Orleans case also involving former NFL All-Pro safety Darren Sharper has posted a $400,000 bond. Online jail records showed the 26-year-old Erik Nunez posted bond Monday morning. Sharper and Nunez each face two aggravated rape charges in New Orleans.
NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Rapper Lil Boosie says serving prison time in a Louisiana prison for a 2009 drug conviction was life changing and it's made him a better person. Lil Boosie - whose real name is Torence Hatch - was released last week from the state's maximum security prison at Angola.
