Scammers are targeting those of you with diabetes. Officials with the Better Business Bureau say they have been getting many complaints from people across Acadiana.
They say the caller will offer a new kind of program for those people with diabetes, where they alert your doctor and pharmacy if you have a problem with your blood sugar level.
To take advantage of this program, all you have to do is give out your personal information, including your medicare and credit card numbers.
That's why officials say it is a scam. If you have to give out any personal information to someone you don't know use extreme caution.
Better Business Bureau Officials say you should not talk to the caller, in fact you should hang up on them.
