Second Harvest Food Bank distributes USDA emergency food assistance to several parish sites

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) - The Second Harvest Food Bank has distributed USDA emergency food assistance commodities for eligible, needy families in several south Louisiana parishes.

23 parishes received these commodities as part of the Emergency Food Assistance Program, including the 9 Acadiana parishes: 

Officials with Second Harvest Food Bank say these commodities will be given on a first come, first serve basis as a part of the normal food packages provided by sites and they can only be given to registered applicants.
