Lafayette Police have been investigating a string of business burglaries throughout Lafayette. That investigation goes back seven months but now police have their man.

Thirty seven year old David Mouton  is being charged with the crimes.

Mouton's criminal history involves an arrest in 1993 in which he was sentenced to 5 years in prison. Another in 1995 including an 8 year sentence in Gulfport Mississippi  all on burglary charges before being arrested Friday.
