I'm Craig Romero, and I have been successfully working to bring new jobs to our area for years.

For example, I led the effort that helped to start Dynamic Industries at the Port of Iberia, creating more than 1500 new jobs in Iberia Parish.

My plan is threefold: First, I will fight to protect the jobs we have by voting against CAFTA and fighting to insure free trade, but not stupid trade policies.

Secondly, it is long past time we have a member of Congress who works to sell the assets of our area and people to companies and businesses.

This means we must have a member of Congress who fights for our fair share of infrastructure dollars for roads, highways and ports...a member of Congress who fights to secure funding to restore our coastline...and a member of Congress who works hard to protect our oil and gas industry.

I have a plan to bring affordable health care to Louisiana.

First, I will fight to allow our people to buy cheaper and safe prescription drugs from Canada.

The federal government seems more interested in importing cheap Vietnamese shrimp than in allowing our people to buy cheap Canadian drugs.

Both of these are outrageous policies.

Second, I will fight to change the law to allow state and local governments and companies to buy prescription drugs in bulk and realize huge cost savings.

These savings must be passed along to our people.

Thirdly, I will fight for tax credits for our families on health care costs.

It makes no sense that our people should have to pay income taxes on money they spend for their family's health.

Fourthly, I will fight to stop multi-national companies from buying Congress with campaign contributions like they are trying to do here in the 3rd Congressional District.
