After a state law allowing the death penalty for child rapists was overturned, Governor Jindal says it's time for more stringent rules to crack down on sex offenders.
Some of those guidelines the Governor is suggesting would force sex offenders to inform both neighbors and employers about their criminal past.
Also, sexual predators would be subject to castration, if they break the law more than once. The Governor also wants to target those who use the internet as their hunting ground.
"We absolutely will go after those monsters online. It's so important that we as parents, however, know what our children are doing with those computers, we know who they communicate with" says Jindal.
In the meantime, officials say they'll crack down on those using unsecured wireless routers for child pornography.
Offenders will be tracked on popular networking sites to make sure they're not conversing with minors.
