MORE LOST PETS

THE FOLLOWING PETS ARE STILL MISSING, AND SO FAR, NO LEADS HAVE SURFACED AS TO THEIR WHEREABOUTS.  PLEASE CONTINUE TO KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR THESE MUCH-LOVED PETS, AND CONTACT THEIR OWNERS IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON THEIR WHEREABOUTS.

 

LOST:

   Male Black Lab mix named "Blackie."  He has an all-black coat and a curved tail.  He is wearing a red collar and a white flea collar, and when last spotted, a blue leash was connected to his collar.  He was last seen at Moore Park near Carencro.  If you've seen Blackie, please contact his owners at 337-344-9158 or send an e-mail to t.prejean@bellsouth.net.

LOST:

   Female Chihua named "Kissie."  She is tiny, only 3 pounds, and has a light blonde coat.  She is very shy, but if you sit down and wait quietly for a  minute or two, she will eventually come to you.  She is registered and microchipped through AVID, you may contact them at 1-800-336-2843 to verify her identity and arrange return.  She was last seen in north Crowley on Parkway Circle in Forest Park Subdivision, near the North Crowley I-10 exit.  A reward is being offered for her safe return.  If you have any information on Kissie, please call 337-783-7363 or send an e-mail to rojas365021@bellsouth.net.    

LOST:

   Female Pit Bull Terrier.  She is a beloved family pet, sweet and friendly.  She is two and a half years old, and has a blue and white coat.  She was last seen in the Butte LaRose area.  If you've seen her, please call 337-342-2811 or send an e-mail to rhondamolivier@hotmail.com.  

LOST:

   Male mixed breed dog.  He is a medium to large size Retriever mix, with a golden brown coat and white feet.  He is 18 months old, and weighs about 60 pounds.  He is wearing two collars, and was last seen near City Park in New Iberia.  A reward is being offered for his safe return.  If you've seen him, call 337-367-3532 or 337-577-7415 or send an e-mail to steff2198@hotmail.com.  

  LOST:

   Female Chocolate Lab named "Girl."  She has a solid dark brown coat, is 3 years old, and is not wearing a collar.  She was last seen by Spanish Lake Truck Stop Casino by Our Lady of the Lake Road.  She has a medical condition and is in need of her medication.  If you've seen Girl, please call her owners at 337-380-7488.

  LOST:

   Male Shi Tzu mix named "Chewi."  He is wearing two collars with a ID tag.  He was last seen on Beverly Road in Opelousas.  A reward is being offered for his safe return.  If you've seen Chewi, please call 337-351-2295 or 337-323-8977.

LOST:

   Male Miniature Schnauzer named "Max."  He is 4 years old, weighs about 25 pounds, and has a salt and pepper colored coat.  He is wearing a black leather collar with a blue bone-shaped tag with the name "Maxwell" and his owner's address and phone number engraved on it.  Max was last seen on Alice Drive in Lafayette.  If you've seen him, call his owners at 337-278-8876.

LOST:

  Two dogs believed to be traveling together--a Black Lab named Lucy and her daughter Belle, a Golden Retriever.  Lucy has a black coat with some gray around her muzzle, and she is 3 years old.  Belle has a blonde-golden coat, is 17 months old, weighs about 80 pounds, and has a severe overbite.  Both dogs are on medication, but Belle is very sick, and urgently needs her medication immediately.  They were both last seen in the Arnaudville area.  If you've seen them, please call Sharon at 337-277-9139 or Nicole at 337-351-3731.

To put your pet's information on our Lost and Found program, send the information to us at P.O. Box 90665, Lafayette, LA 70509, fax it to us at 981-6533 or e-mail it to Blue at bluerolfes@klfy.com.  Please include the following information:

-Breed, age and gender of pet (example, adult male German Shepherd)

-Description, including coat color, markings, size, collar info, etc.

-Location where pet was found or was last seen

-Telephone number or e-mail address where you can be contacted (cell numbers are preferred so that owner can be contacted immediately)

-Any other information that you think might help us find your pet

We also encourage you to check daily with your parish Animal Control Center and with area rescue organizations and humane societies.  Their volunteers do a great job of tracking lost and found pets.  Make sure your pet is microchipped and wearing a sturdy collar with an up to date rabies tag and ID tag, to help us reunite you and your pet if he wanders away from home.
