A local Tulane University football player is facing some severe charges.
Abbeville native Ray Boudreaux faces five counts of attempted first degree murder in connection with a stabbing that injured five people on Bourbon Street, in New Orleans.
Tulane suspended the 22 year old, who was a senior social science major before his arrest.
Boudreaux told reporters the stabbing was in self defense.
Surveillance video captured the chaos last weekend.Earlier this week, the running back was named Tulane's special player of the week for his play against Houston.
