SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- The Hurricane Katrina-displaced New Orleans Saints will be returning to Louisiana next year.
The Saints have called San Antonio home since Katrina slammed the Gulf coast in late August.
Team owner Tom Benson says the Saints will return to their Louisiana practice facility next month.
Benson says the team might even be able to play in the hurricane-ravaged Superdome by September.
Work continues to repair the venue in New Orleans.
Benson, in a memo circulated to the team, says the entire organization -- coaches, players and staff -- will return to Metairie, Louisiana, in January.
The San Antonio Express-News earlier reported that the Saints were planning to return to Louisiana.
