Vitter Opens Office in Lafayette

Senator David Vitter says he wants to be more accessible to the people of Louisiana.

That's why he invited area elected officials to join him in cutting the ribbon on a new office in the Lafayette Federal Court House Tuesday.

Senator Vitter says the Acadiana location will provide assistance to area residents, while helping him better serve the people of the state.

Senator David Vitter: I'm working hard on Social Security, to fully protect and stabilize Social Security, also working hard on key Louisiana infrastructure and other priorities, I-49, saving our coast and I've gotten some really good committee assignments that will be very helpful in that regard...

Senator Vitter also opened offices in Baton Rouge and Metairie Tuesday.

Future offices are planned for Alexandria, Lake Charles, Monroe and Shreveport.
