New Iberia Senior High School counselor, Luke Lucas, says students who carry the style have self-esteem issues.
Luke Lucas/N.I.S.H.: Mostly, they have low self-value, low self-worth. They dress like that to fit in, to make a mark, to stand out and be recognized because that's the only way they can stand out... Lucas goes on to say there are only a small percentage of students to openly display the goth style on campus.
