TV 10 talked to a friend of one of the teens arrested as his mother withdrew him from school.
Kevin Prejean says his leaving school has nothing to do with his friend, Charles Babineaux's arrest or with the fact that he also dresses in the goth style.
Kevin Prejean: I feel more relaxed dressed like this. I just don't care what people think
... He tells us it's a common clothing fad, not a dangerous trend. But, it's clear Prejean saw something like grave robbing could happen. He says he and Babineaux would joke about breaking into tombs and stealing remains.
Kevin Prejean: It was all peer pressure, all around. I didn't think he would do that to that extent...
His mother, Anissa Broussard, says she had no idea the thought had crossed her son's mind.
Cheryl Fatzer: What about your son saying they'd joke about it? Did you ever hear anything?
Anissa Broussard: No! I didn't know that. I'm shocked, but I will talk to him about it when we get home...
But, as far as his wardrobe goes...
Anissa Broussard: I buy it for him because that's what makes him comfortable and that's what he wants...
