INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees should be back at his old job Saturday night, leading the Saints prolific offense against Indianapolis. Brees has recovered from a strained left oblique muscle in time to play in the most significant week of the preseason. He's seen limited action this month in an effort to get healthy.

GREENVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say a second man is in custody is the shooting death of former University of Alabama football player Ozell Powell. Police in Powell's hometown of Greenville say Samarjay Demontes Peterson surrendered yesterday. Peterson is now charged with murder. He's jailed without bond.

ATLANTA (AP) - Devin Hester says the chance to get back to the postseason was a big reason he signed with Atlanta - despite the Falcons' 4-12 finish last season. Now Hester is anxious for the Falcons to look like a playoff contender with Atlanta's third preseason game against Tennessee tonight.

BRISTOL, Tenn. (AP) - Kevin Harvick will take the pole position tonight at Bristol Motor Speedway. Harvick turned a lap at a track-record 131.362 mph last night. He knocked Jeff Gordon from the top spot for his 11th career pole. It is his fifth pole this season, which he attributes to one thing: "faster cars."
