ELIZABETH, La. (AP) - State police say an Oakdale man died and a Pitkin man was arrested as the result of a head-on collision.

Investigators say 73-year-old Frank Gordon was traveling west on La. 112 near Elizabeth Sunday when the car he was driving collided with the vehicle driven by 19-year-old Ethan Bailes of Pitkin.

Trooper Stephen LaFargue said Bailes was traveling east and crossed the center line.

The American Press reports Bailes was booked with driving while intoxicated, vehicular homicide, driving left of center and speeding.
