FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - The last NFL team with a perfect regular season record gets its second chance in three weeks to knock off an unbeaten opponent. The New England Patriots hope to do better this time.
The Patriots went 16-0 in 2007 and will visit the New Orleans Saints next Monday night. Two weeks ago, the Patriots lost by one point to the unbeaten Indianapolis Colts, then rebounded with a 31-14 win over the New York Jets on Sunday.
Cornerback Leigh Bodden had three interceptions against the Jets and said Monday it's always good to play a great team.
He'll try to control a passing game led by Drew Brees, the NFL's second-ranked quarterback, and an offense averaging 36.9 points per game.
