WEST MONROE, La. (AP) - An early morning fire destroyed a West Monroe church.

Curt Meachum, Ouachita Parish fire investigator, said nothing was left of the Community of Christ church building and no one was injured in the fire.

Meachum told The News-Star the first report of the fire came around 5:05 a.m. Wednesday from a caller who said flames were 30 feet in the air. Parish and West Monroe fire crews both responded to the scene.

Meachum said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
