MARKSVILLE, La. (AP) - Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's detectives have arrested a Marksville woman on a theft charge after an elderly Hessmer resident had $10,000 stolen off of a debit card.
Authorities tell The Alexandria Daily Town Talk that 27-year-old Jennifer Muse allegedly befriended the victim and gained access to a debit card and PIN number.
Police say detectives obtained video footage from automated teller machines. Authorities say Muse was already on probation for issuing worthless checks.
