HOUMA, La. (AP) - A judge has dismissed a lawsuit against a Houma restaurant where a woman claimed to have found roaches in her iced tea two years ago.
After a 1-day bench trial, District Judge Randy Bethancourt said Gail Pitre, of Chackbay, did not prove her claim.
Bethancourt said Pitre didn't produce witnesses who ate with her or a receipt for her meal. He also said Pitre failed to call the Dragon Garden restaurant after allegedly finding the bugs in her cup in May 2007.
