Lafayette Police have now identified the suspect in a March armed bank robbery.

Police named 48 year old Thomas Eugene as a result of evidence collected at the scene.

Eugene is currently incarcerated in Escambia County Florida and charged with a similar bank robbery.

The robbery happened at the Capital One Bank in the 100 block of East Kaliste Saloom Road.

Authorities say the suspect slipped the teller a note demanding money before getting his cash and fleeing the bank.
