At least 3 people are dead after severe storms hit North Louisiana Friday night.

A state of emergency was declared in Louisiana as rain and winds flooded roads, knocked out power and toppled trees.

But, amid the destruction comes an amazing tale of survival from Shreveport.

A man was driving home from a business meeting Friday when the tornado hit. It blew a steeple off a church and onto his car.

The steeple flattened his car. But the man managed to survive, only sustaining minor injuries.
