State Police are  investigating the death of a Duson man who was killed early Saturday morning in a car accident.

Twenty one year old year old Jeremy Senegal was driving his car on Highway 92, west of Maurice when it overturned.

According to state police, Senegal was trying to pass a vehicle when he lost control, and hit an embankment on the side of a private driveway.  His car flipped over and came to rest on its roof submerged in a drainage canal.

The young man never made it out of his car and was pronounced dead on scene.
