For the second time within the last seven days, a St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Deputy is arrested for allegedly doctor shopping.

Chris Lejeune of Ville Plate was arrested this week after as part of a joint investigation with the Saint Landry and Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Offices.

Sheriff's officials say Lejeune was in possession of illegal drugs and possibly doctor shopping.

The 31 year old was booked on possession with intent to distribute Lortabs, Valium, Methadone and Oxycontin.

Just a week ago, 31 year old deputy Devin Acaldo and his girlfriend was also arrested for obtaining a controlled dangerous substance by fraud and doctor shopping
