A New Iberia man found dead in a bayou has been identified this. Fifty year old, Abraham Doucet was found floating along Bayou Teche just after one Wednesday, and was discovered by a tugboat captain.

According to Doucet's sister, he had a history of mental illness. Local residents tell us they often saw him walking through the area.

The coroner's report will give more details into the man's cause of death. As of now, police do not suspect foul play.
