Customer Check List

Thank you for using our company for your project.   The following must be completed before we arrive at your house.

  • Go to your city or parish government office and notify the proper authority of your moving from point A to point B.  This allows you to know the codes, flood zones, and set backs.  It is best to have a plat of your new site with the house drawn on it.
  • Be sure all utilities are disconnected (electric meter & wire, gas meter, water and sewer lines)
  • All trash, bushes and trees around house and the new site nee dot be removed.
  • All belonging inside house should be removed.  It is most important to remove anything over 50 pounds.  Lay any tall items on the floor.  The refrigerator so that it cannot roll.  Drain the hot water tank.  Secure ceiling fans.
  • If you are cutting the house make sure the cut is complete and the house is braced properly.  If we are cutting the house the customer is responsible for weatherproofing the house at all times.  Bricks and chimneys must be removed to the ground and placed 100 feet away from the house.
  • All trees in route to the new location must be cut and removed by the customer.  Cement walks and porches are to be removed from around the house.
  • If we are crossing anyone's property you must obtain written permission for our company.
  • If you are building a pad it must be oversized by 5-10 feet of the entire house.  If the house or site is not properly prepared, additional cost may be incurred by you.
  • Please mark the corners of the site where the house is to be located.
  • Please remember to have a money order, cashier check or cash ready when the house arrives.  We have had some bad experiences with personal checks and DO NOT accept them.
  • If we are on site greater than 14 days, a 20 yard dumpster and Portolet msut be placed on site.
