A Breaux Bridge teenager lost his life early Saturday morning when he tragically crashed his car into a tree.

The Saint Martin Parish Sheriff's office tells us they received the call around four thirty this morning.

Nineteen year old David Lester Jr was headed north bound on Bergeron Road and for unknown reasons he lost control of his car around a curve and hit a tree.

Lester was pronounced dead on scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
