Tuition increases on 4-year colleges

The Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget agreed Monday to plans to raise tuition at public colleges by up to 5%. A look at how much tuition will increase at 4-year campuses:

LSU A&M: $254 annual increase to $5,340.

Louisiana Tech University: $247 annual increase to $5,188.

University of New Orleans: $215 annual increase to $4,521.

Southern University-Baton Rouge: $195 annual increase to $4,101.

Grambling State University: $191 annual increase to $4,007.

University of Louisiana at Monroe: $191 annual increase to $4,003.

Nicholls State University: $189 annual increase to $3,960.

LSU-Shreveport: $184 annual increase to $3,871.

Northwestern State University: $182 annual increase to $3,831.

University of Louisiana at Lafayette: $182 annual increase to $3,814.

McNeese State University: $171 annual increase to $3,594.

LSU-Alexandria: $170 annual increase to $3,572.

Southeastern Louisiana University: $170 annual increase to $3,571.

Southern University-New Orleans: $149 annual increase to $3,138.
