TULLOS, La. (AP) - State police say a 24-year-old Winn Parish man was killed when the dirt bike he was riding collided with a pickup truck that contained his father as a passenger.

Troopers say Cory Richard Ponds of Urania was pronounced dead Saturday evening after being taken to Hardtner Medical Center in LaSalle Parish following the crash.

The accident occurred on Ponds Road located in Winn Parish about 1 mile off of U.S. Highway 84.

Troopers says everyone in the pickup truck was wearing a seat belt and no one was injured.
